For the past four years the Rotary Club of Suva East has been operating a Literacy Project which provides books for over 70 school libraries in Fiji which are vastly under-resourced. The Rotary Club of Suva East has received donated books from Canada and Australia. The Canadian Rotary Clubs of Chilliwack and White Rock have donated an annual 20 foot container of books to be freighted to Fiji and the Ranfurly Library Service in Australia has sent a further 60 boxes of books annually. The Rotary Club of Wetherill Park in New South Wales has helped with the storage and shipping of many of the books.
