Mission Statement

Increase the awareness of all Rotarians of the existence and benefits of Rotarian Fellowships to individual members and to clubs of the world.  Devise action programs to increase the total membership in existing Fellowships and to assist Rotarians in creating new Fellowships.  Promote Peace and Fellowship. Note:  In 2005, the Rotary Board of Directors reclassified all "fellowships" at "Global Networking Groups with two classifications:  Fellowships and Rotarian Action Groups.  Links from this page will take you to the Rotary web site where complete information on all Global Networking Groups is available.

Objectives and Goals

• Increase membership in existing Fellowships 15% by July 1, 2001.  Join an existing Fellowship now by clicking here.

• Increase the number of active Fellowships by adding at least 8 new Fellowships by July 1, 2001.  Organize or join a new Fellowship now by clicking here.

• Establish web sites for all Fellowships by February 1, 2001.

• Establish online registration for Rotarians to join Fellowships by February 1, 2001.

• Organize an effective program utilizing the time and talents of the 6 area coordinators and the 34 zone coordinators to carry out promotional programs at the club level by February 1, 2001. 

Action Plan

• Make presentations at club and district meetings to promote participation in various Rotary Recreational and Vocational Fellowship groups.

• Encourage promotion of the Rotary Recreational and Vocational Fellowships program at district events and in district publications.

• Advise Rotarians on the procedure for establishing a new Rotary Recreational and Vocational Fellowship groups, when appropriate ones do not exist

• Encourage Rotary Recreational and Vocational Fellowships to conduct international and community service projects in conjunction with their activities and/or events.

• Encourage each fellowship to identify several members who can serve as webmasters to establish a web site and promote the Fellowship on the Internet.
