"Help Provide Disaster Relief to Haiti" |

January 15, 2010 My Fellow Amigos,
I know that we have all
been saddened by the disastrous earthquake in Haiti. The news
reports, the reports from Rotarians in Haiti and the Dominican
Republic, and the images in our newspapers and
on TV have shocked all of us.
As Rotarians, we want to provide assistance just as
we did for the Tsunami, Katrina and numerous other natural
disasters. Disaster relief teams are arriving daily, including many
Rotarians. Search and Rescue teams with rescue dogs from Canada and
the United States are already hard at work searching the rubble for
victims. Many have been rescued . . . others were not as lucky.
ShelterBox now has a team on the ground in Haiti with
nearly 2000 ShelterBoxes scheduled to arrive shortly.
Facebook and other social networking groups are
coming together to raise funds to provide much needed aide.
I want to make you aware of the various opportunities
for providing aide and relief. Each of these opportunities through
Rotary and the American Red Cross will insure that your
contributions provide the aide you want to give. Please read my

help.
Forward the newsletter to other Rotarians and Rotary clubs, Let's
join together to do all we can to help the many hundreds of
thousands affected by this disaster with food, water, clothing,
shelter
and medical supplies. We are Rotarians and this is what we do.
Please keep the people of Haiti in your thoughts and
prayers.
