SOME RESTRICTIONS on Becoming a Pilot
PILOT DISTRICTS Need to be aware of the following restrictions to help them plan well
-
The 100 districts who participate as Pilot districts between 2010 and 2013 need to understand there will be some restrictions on their Foundation activities.
-
The number one restriction refers to MATCHING GRANTS. A Pilot district is restricted to partnering ONLY with other pilot districts. Thus, if a district wishes to participate in the Future Vision pilot program and it has close working relationships with districts in specific areas of the world, it should check whether this district will also apply to become a pilot district. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!
-
Vocational Training Teams: In order to qualify for global grants, those pilot districts can ONLY partner with other pilot districts. So even if a district’s proposed VTT will be eligible for global grant funding, it must also be with a participating pilot district or else it has to be funded by the district grant.
-
Under the FVP and the Pilot program, there are only TWO types of grants . . . Global and District. Anything that is not funded by the Global grant will need to be funded directly from the District Grant funds with no matching funds from TRF.
